MARCH 17th 2012. A night called ‘STIR IT UP’, Axis Sound System plays Vintage and Classic Reggae – Alongside Manjits Kitchen (Authentic Indian street food- delicious). Temple Works, Marshall St, off Water Lane, Leeds. 8pm till 2am. £5. Food extra (about £4).

JULY 19th, 20th, 21st 2012. WICKERMAN FESTIVAL, DUMFRIES, SCOTLAND. AXIS SOUND SYSTEM will have their regular enormous Reggae marquee (11th year of Wickerman) all weekend, all day and night till 5am.

AUGUST 11th 2012. AXIS SOUND SYSTEM, Vintage and Classic Reggae night at Bar 1:22, Huddersfield, HD1 2UD. 10pm till 4am. FREE in all night.

AUGUST 24th,25th,26th. SOLFEST, CUMBRIA. Dr. Huxtable will be playing old Reggae records in the ‘HOUSE OF JOY’ Reggae/Dub marquee on the Jambeater sound system.

See above poster. A new veteran/vintage/classic Reggae night will be starting Sat 10th July 2010 (Carnival night) at Bar 1:22 in Huddersfield town centre.
Dr. Huxtable will be bringing the Axis sound machine, the sound that refreshes the parts other sounds cannot reach.
Its free all night, so put on your soft shoes and boogaloo away the credit crunch blues.

TODSTOCK, a 2 day free festival on the main park in Todmorden (West Yorkshire/Lancashire border) on 7th + 8th August 2010 has been confirmed.
Axis will have their own Reggae Marquee at the festival. There will be the usual special guests and a splash of Dubstep courtesy of POWAH residents.

As the confirmations for 2010s summer festivals start to come through, Im happy to say the Axis tent will be back at the Wickerman Festival in Dumfies, Scotland on 23rd + 24th July.
Also, the Axis cafe will be adjoining the Bushrocker HiFi tent at the Beatherder festival in Gisburn, Lancs on 2nd + 3rd + 4th July. Ill be playing on the Bushrocker HiFi periodically that weekend in between making cups of tea for the masses.

A quick note to say thanks very much to all the people that attended the Haiti benefit night at Bar 1:22 in Huddersfield. After expenses, we managed to raise £320 which has been forwarded to the Disasters Emergency Fund, who will make sure it will go to the most needed areas.

LATEST NEWS…..Axis Sound System featuring Dr.Huxtable @the controls will be at Bar 122 in Huddersfield doing a HAITI EARTHQUAKE DISASTER BENEFIT NIGHT on Friday 5th March ’10. Also on the night will be live music from Amanda Huxtable and the Rooticals and guest Djs Marc Kershaw (Whisky on the shelf/Peacock Lounge) alongside The Croyden Greyhound and Dj Storm. Reggae, Soul, Funk, R+B, Ska, Rock and Roll, theres something for everybody.

Admission is £5 all night, starts at 9pm and finishes at 2am. Please help support the people of disaster struck areas of Haiti, every penny from the door will be used.

On Sat March 13th ’10, Bar 122 in Huddersfield will be having a party called SOUL SHAKEDOWN PARTY. It consists of some acoustic sets by local musicians doing covers of Bob Marleys songs.
Later in the night, the AXIS SOUND SYSTEM will be firing up to keep you dancing till the early hours of Sunday morning. All welcome.

After a great night in December, Axis will be playing at THE VINE in Sowerby Bridge (West Yorkshire) again on Friday 12th February 2010.
It will be free all night and will start at 9pm and finish at 2am.
Music on the night will be vintage Jamaican music like Ska, Rock Steady, Roots and Dancehall, with Dr.Huxtable at the controls.

A big fat chunk of the AXIS sound machine will be getting a good thrashing on new years eve at Legends night club. On the bill will be the best in DUBSTEP Djs from the POWAH collective. (‘ Powah dubstep’ on Facebook for more details.
