My name is Dr Huxtable, I am the founder of the Axis Sound System , Which incorporates many different aspects of the Reggae music scene.
Roots and Revival Reggae
First and foremost ‘Axis’ was built to play original Roots And Revival Reggae music in the style and fashion best suited for that music. In other words, Axis tries to keep the sound ‘original’.
Sound System for hire
From these humble beginnings over the years came many off shoots. There are two Axis Sound Systems one that is smaller and comprises of original equipment (valve amps, Goodmans speakers etc) and one which is larger, used mainly for bigger venues and hire out purposes.
I now build sound systems for other people which have a 1st Class reputation and are exported world-wide.

Work with original Reggae Artists
My own personal interest in original Jamaican music has led me to areas such as building an all analogue studio which is frequented by original artists from the Reggae world.
Radio shows, artists interviews, record sales (original and re-press) roots and revival dances and dub plates have all become part of Axis Sound System over the years.
